How do you calculate gallons per inch in a vertical storage tank with a flat bottom?
A vertical storage tank will have the same number of gallons per inch of height. You can use the same formula as a horizontal storage tank and then divide by the height of the tank.

Total gallons/Total vertical height in inches = Gallons per inch
